We Are A Community Committed To Its Children
The mission of the Albert Lea Education Foundation is to serve the students of District 241 by identifying educational needs and creating financial support through these means:
- Creating permanent endowments which will provide a continued source of funds for unmet student needs, scholastic improvement, scholarships, and special program grants
- Developing funding for the creation and maintenance of new programs that will enhance educational opportunities for students
- Supporting activities beneficial to students in the district
The Education Foundation of Albert Lea is a non-profit corporation 501(c)(3) formed in 2000 by a group of citizens who shared a concern for the future of education in the Albert Lea area. Since its inception the Foundation has worked to provide enhancements to the educational experience of the students of the Albert Lea Area Schools. Our fund raising activities have resulted in gifts totaling over $1 million for programs, equipment, improvements and permanent endowment funds that benefit the student in District 241.
